From Durham (areas west of the preserve):

• Interstate 85 N to Henderson
• 158E to Littleton
• at 1st traffic light, take right (Mosby Ave.)
• go 1/2 mile to Warren Street - take left (Warren becomes Justice Branch Road)
• go 8.5 miles to Aurelian Springs School (on right at crossroads)
• take right onto Hwy 48 S
• go 3.4 miles Bear Swamp Hunting Preserve - look for sign on the right side of the road

From Raleigh, Wilson, Goldsboro (areas south of the preserve):

• go to I-95
• take I-95 N to Exit 150 - Whitakers
• at the top of the exit ramp turn left back over I-95
• go 1/4 mile to intersection and take right onto Hwy 48 N.
• go 15 miles to Bear Swamp Hunting Preserve - look for sign on the left side of the road

landmarks on hwy 48 heading north to the preserve

• Medoc crossroads (service station, convienence store on left)
• Brinkleyville crossroads (volunteer fire station on left)

from Brinkleyville crossroads, north to the preserve (3 miles)

• 2 miles from Brinkleyville you will pass white Bear Swamp church on the left.
• next landmark will be a brick Bear Swamp church on the right.
• Bear Swamp Hunting preserve will be on the left side of 48 after you pass the brick Bear Swamp church
