Club Guidelines

Land Plots

We have strove not to have many rules. We don't believe in fining members. A member is a fit or not. We are too small of a club to have those kinds of issues. We believe members should consider each other and do what is right for the club and for other members. However we have found that some things required defining. Therefore we put together a short list of general guidelines and definitions that the club follows.

Club Guidelines

Our club is an all year round club. The cabins are available to the members for 12 months. There is not any additional charge for staying nights. The dues cover the cabins, utilities, and land leases.

ATVs are permitted on the land. Again consideration is required as that most land is farmland and the farmers need to make a profit too.

We have an area for skeet shooting and rifle/pistol shooting.

The land is pretty evenly distributed in hardwood (~400 acres), pine ( ~400 acres), and farmland (~500 acres). The farmland is in a tobacco rotation. So the crop varies from year to year. There are about 30 established stands throughout the properties. All stands on the property are shared by the club. Anyone can hunt any stand. Now again we are a considerate club.

We do a dove field every year. The dues cover the prep for the field. We also do food plots. Currently the dues do not cover the seed and fertilizer for the food plots. The members typically buy that and split up the cost/labor at the time of planting. Corn is handled similarly. We do buy from a local farmer. But you pay for what you put out. A couple guys have put in automated feeders or gravity feeders. Some just broadcast the corn.

Bird hunts are additional costs both for the birds and for the guide with dog ( if you don't have your own). The club has a bird pen and someone on site to take care of the birds until you hunt them. The club does not make any money on the birds you want. You are just charged the cost of the birds and feed. The guide typically charges $50 per half day hunt.

Being a club of 12 members, we have not had to have officers. We have always been able to discuss and vote on issues that arise be it extra funds or food plots, or whatever. We are easy going, not high strung, guys that like to hunt. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call or email.
